Florida is a place that is relatively inexpensive to get from anywhere in the USA. It is known for sunny weather, which is why it is The Sunshine State. It is also called the Peninsula State, the Gulf State, the Alligator State and the Everglades State.

Home to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, this is a must see for families. It has grown significantly over the years. As a child, I recall going to Epcot, not for adventure, but to try food from around the world. Now it is full of adventure. There is an overwhelming amount to do and you really have to pick your favorites, unless you have an unlimited budget and time. Disneyworld was great and my daughter loved seeing all of the princesses. However, I felt this is better suited for younger children.
Universal Studios was SPECTACULAR (and less crowded when we went during Thanksgiving, a big plus). Harry Potter was so fun, especially the Hogwarts Express and being confronted by dementors. The rides were also great, but the two that really wowed us were Jimmy Fallon and the Simpsons.
Just make sure you pack proper shoes. One of my favorite pairs is sketchers. They are super cushioned on the bottom, dry quickly if they get wet, and NEVER look dirty.
